La primera vez que la Ford Motor LTD Company was the name used on the top version of the Galaxy, 1965. A year after LTD had its own series. In relation to these acronyms, some said they were short for Luxury Trim Decor, whereas in Australia, where Ford sold another model called LTD was understood as Lincoln Type Design. Finally, was the magazine 'The Original Car Life' that when LTD presented the first made it clear that just three letters were chosen randomly.
In 1973, Ford introduced a new range of LTD which was still occupying the top end of the mark. Despite being a model is lighter than its predecessors, it was still a large car for something more two-ton where the maneuverability and fuel economy were two of its major weaknesses. However, this series of Ford, which was on the market until 1978, had very good sales numbers as the car had qualities such as comfort, excellent build quality and a reasonable price.
The LTD, 1973 had a great offer mechanics, which began with the Windsor V8 of 4.9 liters (302 ci) and continued with the Cleveland V8 variants of 5.8 (351 ci) and 6.6 liters (400 ci). The rest of what made up the 351m range of 5.8 liters (351 ci) and two variants of the Ford 358, a 7-liter (429 ci) and 7.5 liters (460 ci). All were adapted to the new federal rules emissions and fuel economy. There were three body styles, sedan, coupe and family, while equipment levels were Landau, Brougham and Country Squire (woody decor type only available with the familiar body). Along with the Dodge Monaco, the Ford LTD is one of the cars that have appeared in more movies and TV police series set in the America of the 70.
Led by American Excellence comes a new member to the family of American cars Neo Scale Models. This time Ford is the first American who made this mark and this is a Brougham LTD, easily recognizable by its vinyl roof. The level of the miniature falls short of all products submitted so far. The choice of color is correct, but the special version that sells Modelcarworld in yellow with green vinyl roof. Perhaps the most critical point is the front, which despite being well executed gives the impression of being too large.
